College Bound Scholarship

TOOLS FOR SCHOOLS

Promoting College Bound

This scholarship aims to raise the hopes and aspirations of 7th and 8th grade students from low-income families. The most effective way to identify these students is to reach those eligible for free- and reduced-price lunch. However, there are broad, all-school college preparation efforts that can include the College Bound Scholarship (CBS).

Regardless of the approach, schools should be sensitive about publicly identifying eligible students as low-income, and about providing quality information about other financial aid options to families who are not eligible for CBS.
