Proposed budgets stress compensation, enrollment
Faculty and staff compensation and increased enrollment support, especially for high-demand programs, were priorities for all of Washington’s public two- and four-year institutions in Governor Gregoire announces HECB appointments Gov. Chris Gregoire announced the appointment of Nancy Biery of Quilcene and Jefferson County, to the Higher Education Coordinating Board and the re-appointment of Earl Hale, Ethelda Burke, and Sasha Sleiman. Biery, Burke and Hale will serve four-year terms concluding June 30, 2012. Sleiman, the board’s student representative from WWU, was re-appointed to a one-year term. Board info.
